It has been months and the Fenugreek, after starting indoors, has been transplanted into containers, and has already started producing lentils. This herb, lentil, and seed grows wild in India but here I have planted it in Zone 10 with reused yogurt containers. Be sure there is plenty of drainage.
Part of the reason why I might be producing lentils now in May is that they were in a 18 hour indoor light cycle and outside they are in a shorter photo-period which may be causing the plant to produce seed early. I will wait another couple months and send an update. Enjoy this spicy Fenugreek (also used in curry).
